COVID-19 Has Left Many Household Breadwinners In Struggles To Feed Their Families

The Covid-19 pandemic and unprecedented nationwide MCO left dire ramifications on the Malaysian economy. Organizations are scrambling to stay afloat. People in various sectors have been retrenched, leaving many with pay cuts or losing their only source of income. Household breadwinners and daily earners are struggling to make ends meet. Both low and middle-income households either in rural or urban areas are feeling the squeeze over the course of the pandemic Covid-19 crisis. Strengths are becoming frail and not as sturdy as they used to be since many are affected in different means and degrees of severity.

We are striving to provide support for those who need it the most during this tough period. Earlier, the COVID-19 Emergency Appeal campaign has succeeded in benefiting many parties. Hundreds of food parcels which include essential items and secondary items that last for a month and plus has been distributed to the neediest families in Malaysia.

The Number Of Appeal Increases As More People Start To Lost Their Job

We have received a lot of requests since we start to distribute the food basket especially from the people who just lost their job due to the sudden retrenchment from the company. For the first stage, we were able to support 100 families and 70 families in a later stage.

$30 Can Support A Family For A Month

We will continue the third stage to support 100 families where each food basket cost $30 which can help them to survive for a month.

The expenses breakdown for the food basket is as follows:
