The Rohingya in Bangladesh have faced countless challenges in their lives, and the arrival of winter only intensifies their struggles. Without proper protection, they are at risk of health issues and a reduced quality of life. This is our opportunity to extend a helping hand and ease their burden. The Rohingya community urgently needs assistance this winter, as they are in a highly vulnerable state, facing severe health and comfort risks due to the cold weather.

Many Rohingya live in camps with makeshift shelters that offer little protection against the harsh winter conditions. Access to warm clothing or appropriate jackets is often scarce, leaving them unprotected from the chilling temperatures.

Additionally, winter often brings an increased risk of illnesses such as colds, coughs, and respiratory infections. Children and the elderly within the Rohingya community are especially vulnerable to these ailments without adequate winter protection. Beyond physical health, the cold weather also affects emotional well-being, as comfort and warmth are essential for a dignified quality of life. Providing winter aid can bring some relief in their difficult circumstances.

To address this, we aim to provide winter aid to 30 Rohingya refugees currently enduring the winter without sufficient protection. Our goal is to raise funds amounting to RM 3,060, which will be used to purchase warm jackets at RM 32 each and blankets at RM 74 each.

By distributing these essential items, we can help shield them from the harsh cold and prevent health risks that arise from prolonged exposure to low temperatures. These small yet impactful efforts can make a significant difference in ensuring a safer and more comfortable winter for the Rohingya community in Bangladesh.
