Seeking knowledge to help and support the Ummah is one of the things that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has told us. It is much easier in terms of access, to learn in today’s era unlike in older times when it was very difficult to access and reach. However, it is still not that easy for many of our brothers and sisters in our Ummah, as many students face difficulties to finish their studies, especially financially.
My name is Muhammad, a 4th-year student who’s studying at IIUM (International Islamic University Malaysia) in BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration). My main motive to graduate is to help the Ummah and support my family, as they have been going through very difficult times since the COVID-19 pandemic started. I have been working on a freelance basis to be able to secure my basic necessities and not burden my family even more. However, since the COVID-19 pandemic began and my father lost his job due to the lockdown which massively affected his job, and made him unable to finance my studies.
I’ve received a final reminder letter to settle down my overdue tuition fees or else I’ll be dismissed from the university if I could not provide the tuition fees which amounted to RM10,950 by end of October.
The number may seem big to many of us, but can you imagine how heavy that number is on the shoulders of the student?
I humbly request your attention to help me to settle my tuition fees and graduate (InshaAllah) so I can support my struggling family. Your help will be greatly appreciated and I pray that Allah will grant you the highest paradise for taking me out of this hard situation.
