“When we help others we are actually helping ourselves. Believe me, God will reward your kindness with something more beautiful.”
Did you know, in Somalia, there has been a lack of rain for many years a period of 40 years, and it has made the country of Somalia one of the worst droughts in the world, affecting more than half of its 7.85 million people. This extreme drought also caused a crisis to get water and even famine.
This severe drought also affects the income of people who herd livestock and agriculture. Many farm animals have died because herders are unable to find food sources for the farm animals. Agricultural products such as crops are also destroyed. Therefore, poverty in Somalia is increasing and 25 million Somalis are at risk of starvation.
Therefore, in Somalia, there is no festive Ramadan like in other countries that celebrate Ramadan with their own traditions with great joy. Many of our Muslim brothers and sisters in Somalia are experiencing a drought crisis, which has a major impact on their survival. The issue of drought in Somalia is still endless, so we need to help them get the resources available to save the Somali people from hunger and starvation.
Let’s all give help and donations in the form of food baskets and iftar meals to them in this month of Ramadan to overcome the hunger crisis and disaster that befalls Somali Muslims. We pray that these donors will always be blessed with sustenance and that all their daily affairs will be made easier.
