To deny Al-Quds citizens of their right towards their land and properties, the Israeli occupation has dominated all resources by using all the means and legal capabilities
For many years our brothers and sisters have put themselves in danger just to protect our holy land Al-Quds.
To deny Al-Quds citizens of their right towards their land and properties, the Israeli occupation has dominated all resources by using all the means and legal capabilities. All sectors that emphasize Al-Quds authenticity have been paralyzed including the economic sector.
The occupation policy that has been endorsed has reduced the opportunities for job attainment. The livelihood expenditure in the city is extremely high as it is linked directly to the Israeli labor market. Though the average individual income in Al-Quds city is 1300 USD$ it is less than half of the living expenses in the city. Therefore, resulting in a high rate of poverty reaching 80% in the western neighborhoods.
Though living in Al-Quds is not easy and they can choose to leave and have a better life, they choose to stay and protect the holy land. Their sacrifices undeniably deserve our support as Muslims. We might not be able to provide military assistance but we can support in the means of aid and relief to fight poverty.
This Ramadan would be our best month to show our solidarity and concerns towards our brothers and sisters by providing iftar meals to the needy families in Al-Quds.
