Islam was introduced to Vietnam around the 10th century by Indian and Middle Eastern traders. Today, there are approximately 100,000 Muslims in Vietnam, the majority of whom are Cham ethnic minorities. Cham Muslims, as an ethnic and religious minority, are frequently forgotten and rarely noticed by the rest of the world. They are impoverished and have few ties to the Ummah.
Alhamdulillah last year we could be with our muslim brothers and sisters in Vietnam to provide iftar meals to thousands elderly, orphans, poor and disabled people. We were so grateful to find them and got the chance to provide assistance and help throughout Ramadan and last year was really tough for them due to the pandemic outbreaks.
