Myanmar’s military have been committing rape and ethnic cleansing against the country’s Rohingya Muslims for years. Since then, over 900,000 Rohingya have been displaced and are now living in camps south of Cox’s Bazar in southeast Bangladesh, the world’s biggest refugee settlement, with little indication of a return to the country where they were denied citizenship and had restricted access to education and healthcare.
The Rohingya refugees are housed in 34 overcrowded camps and are completely dependent on life-saving aid and services. We at Forneedy have supported our brothers and sisters in many ways including food basket assistance, flood relief, education support and winter relief.
This upcoming Ramadan we would like to invite you to join us in our mission to provide 1,000 iftar meals to the orphans, students and poor in the refugee camps. An iftar meal will cost RM13 that contain main dish, fruits, dates, juice and appetizer.
