According to the UN World Food Programme (WFP), nearly 60 percent of Syria’s nearly are “food insecure,”. Indicating 21 million people lack secure access to adequate safe and nutritious food. Over a million in Syria are “severely” food insecure, meaning they cannot survive without food aid.
Years of conflict, displacement, skyrocketing food prices, and the depreciation of the Syrian Pound are just a few of the numerous factors that have caused food supplies to deteriorate, putting many parents in a fight to feed their family.
Ramadan is the month to give endlessly
The extent of people’s utter despair is highlighted during Ramadan, when Muslims normally eat two meals a day instead of three. Many Syrians, on the other hand, go for around 15 hours without eating or drinking and only get one meal each day all year.
This upcoming Ramadan will make no difference for our brothers and sisters in Syria without our assistance. They might go bed with empty stomach, many would have fasting for days as they couldn’t find food to serve.
As Ramadan is the month of giving, month of multiple rewards, we are inviting you to join us to serve hot iftar meals to thousands struggling souls in Syria.
Give even a little and invite others to join this mission by sharing this campaign.
