Join hands with the IIUM Student Union (IIUMSU) in partnership with ForNeedy for a heartfelt campaign – “Iftar Meals for Underprivileged Students.” IIUMSU, an independent International Students’ Organization at the Islamic University of Malaysia, aims to cater to the well-being of around 25,000 local and international students across three campuses.

This collaborative effort seeks to ensure that no student goes hungry during Ramadan, a sacred month for Muslims. Iftar, the evening meal that breaks the fast, holds immense significance in Islamic tradition. Following the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad, students will commence their iftar with dates and water, followed by a set meal shared in a communal setting.

The Iftar events promises a fully organized experience, featuring sharing sessions (Tazkirah), Islamic entertainment, and the essential iftar meal. By contributing to this cause, you directly impact the lives of underprivileged students who may struggle to afford a nutritious meal during this holy month.

Each iftar event aims to provide a minimum of 200 meals to underprivileged students. Your support will ensure that these students not only break their fast but do so with a sense of community and shared blessings. A nominal amount of RM12 covers the cost of one nutritious iftar meal. Your donation, big or small, will make a significant difference in brightening the lives of these students during Ramadan.
