People don’t simply end up on the streets. Homelessness is a sign of many different socioeconomic problems. The primary causes of homelessness have been recognized as unemployment, poverty, old age and abandonment, mental and chronic illness, and a lack of affordable housing.
A few weeks ago, a young man come to our office asking us if we do provide food every day for the homeless. Unfortunately, we do not have funds enough to provide daily meals and we usually distribute them once a month at selected orphanages. Once he left our office, we realized that a lot of people are struggling to feed themselves, especially the people who live in the heart of the city, Kuala Lumpur.
Therefore, we aim to distribute more meals to help the unfortunate, especially the homeless so they won’t sleep with an empty stomach.
