The words of the Prophet S.A.W.:
Meaning: “I was ordered to perform the sacrifice of livestock and it is circumcision for you”.
Kenya is a country located in the eastern part of the African continent. At this point, the Muslim population in Kenya is 4.3 million out of a total of 49,125,325 people. This makes Islam the second-largest religion. Therefore, they will also celebrate Eid al-Adha, which is coming soon.
However, as a result of the lack of rain over the past three years, they have lost their cattle, crops, and livelihood. This causes the people there to not be able to perform the sacrifice, and even taste fresh meat they are not able to. The UN also recorded that as many as 13 million people in the east of the African continent, including Kenya, are facing a severe famine due to a long drought.
Insufficient food also causes children and the elderly to be exposed to various infectious diseases. Furthermore, according to UNICEF, more than seven million children under the age of five are malnourished. If help is not provided, they risk death from severe malnutrition. So, let’s alleviate some of the problems that Kenyans are dealing with by distributing healthy sacrificial meat on Eid al-Adha later.
