From Abu Hurairah Radhiallahu ‘anhu he said, the words of the Prophet Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam: “Whoever has the ability to sacrifice but does not do it, should not be present with us in our place of prayer”.
Soon, all Muslims around the world will celebrate another festival, namely Eid Adha. It is also called a celebration of qurban. Ibadah qurban is the slaughtering of livestock such as camels, cows, and goats that will be done on Eid Adha. So, let’s take advantage of the day by giving help to needy groups by distributing fresh meat to them.
Among them are the Islamic groups that are oppressed in countries that have been hit by calamities. Therefore, we have chosen several countries and regions of Muslims who are facing difficulties to carry out the qurban worship there, among them is the country of Myanmar. There are some Muslims there who had to flee from Myanmar and head to the nearest neighboring country. It also causes them to become refugees in their own country.
Furthermore, the Muslim minority group in Myanmar is listed as the most oppressed ethnic group in the world by the United Nations (UN). The humanitarian crisis that occurred there has had an impact on the Muslims there, they are forced to live in poverty and economic instability.
Therefore, the hardship faced by them has caused them to not be able to enjoy meat throughout the year unless they get donations of sacrificial meat from outsiders. So, let us perform qurban worship for the Muslims there in conjunction with the upcoming Aidiladha as a sign of concern for the plight of the Myanmar people there.
Hopefully, the target of performing qurban worship worth RM3000 to the country of Myanmar can provide an opportunity for Muslims there to taste the meat of the qurban this year.
