As-salamu alaykum dear brothers and sisters. At Persatuan Khadijah, we are driven by a strong commitment to empowerment, sustainability, and collaboration. With the grace of God and the unwavering support of our donors, we have managed to make a profound impact on the lives of countless individuals, especially single mothers who strive to create a better future for themselves and their families in Malaysia.

Consider the dire challenges faced by Muslim single mothers in Malaysia as they navigate the arduous task of providing for their children while supporting themselves. In a world where employment opportunities are limited and community support is often lacking, these mothers bear a heavy and unrelenting burden. The responsibilities of parenting, coupled with financial insecurity, create a cycle of hardship that seems insurmountable.

It is with great pleasure that we announce our collaboration with Forneedy in undertaking this impactful project. Khadijah and Forneedy have joined hands to address the pressing needs of these resilient single mothers. Through this collaboration, we aim to enhance our efforts and broaden our reach, ensuring that the support provided is not only sustainable but also impactful in breaking the cycle of hardship.

In times of difficulty, we turn to the wisdom of the Quran for solace and guidance. Allah, in His infinite mercy, reminds us in Surah Al-Baqarah (2:261): “The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] that grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills.” Let us heed this divine call to compassion and generosity as we strive to uplift those in need.

This Ramadan, let us join hands to alleviate the burdens weighing heavily upon the shoulders of our sisters in Islam. Through our Ramadan Iftar Campaign, we aim to provide sustenance and relief to Muslim single mothers and their children in Malaysia. Each meal, costing only RM24, will contain enough nutrition for a fasting sister, including:

• A refreshing drink to break the fast
• A fulfilling main course
• A light dessert to conclude the meal

By offering these nutritious meals, we seek to bring moments of joy and respite to hundreds of families struggling to make ends meet.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever gives iftar to one who is fasting will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest.” (Tirmidhi)

Your contribution, no matter how small, can make a world of difference to these deserving families. With your generous support, we can ensure that no single mother or child goes to bed hungry during the blessed month of Ramadan. Together, we can embody the spirit of compassion and solidarity that defines our faith.
