Crisis education in Cambodia refers to the challenges and disruptions that the country’s education system has faced due to various crises. Cambodia has a history marked by conflicts, political instability, and socio-economic challenges that have impacted the accessibility and quality of education for its citizens.
Many students in Cambodia face challenges in accessing essential school supplies. Students may face difficulties in obtaining items such as textbooks, notebooks, writing materials, uniforms, and other necessary supplies. These school supply shortages can impact their engagement, attendance, and overall learning experience.
This problem occurs because Cambodia has struggled with limited infrastructure and resources for its education system. Many schools, especially in rural areas, lack facilities, teaching materials, and qualified teachers. Furthermore, disparities in access to education persist, particularly in remote and marginalized communities. This can cause students not to go to school.
So we tried to address this challenge by donating school kits for 50 students, namely uniforms, notebooks, bags, and stationery. This effort is to increase and promote equitable access to education. Despite progress, the education crisis remains a concern in Cambodia, and continued efforts are needed to ensure that all children have the opportunity to access quality education and improve their future prospects.
