The lack of school supplies in Syria can be attributed to several factors, primarily stemming from the ongoing conflict and its wide-ranging impact on the country’s infrastructure, economy, and social fabric. Years of conflict have led to a generation of students who have experienced interrupted education.
There are some key reasons for the shortage of school supplies happen. This is because, the conflict in Syria has led to massive displacement of people, including students and teachers. Many families have been forced to leave their homes and communities, often with little to no belongings. As a result, students have lost access to their personal school supplies, and schools themselves have been damaged or destroyed, leading to disruptions in the distribution of supplies.
In addition, hyperinflation and economic instability have also pushed up the price of goods, including school supplies. This has made it difficult for families to purchase items such as textbooks, notebooks and writing materials. Because of this, students in Syria need help with school supplies because of the prolonged conflict and its impact on the country’s education system.
The effort and contribution of the public through this campaign is to help underprivileged students in Syria by distributing school supplies to 50 students in need. These supplies can include items such as notebooks, pens, pencils, textbooks, backpacks and other necessities. Providing school equipment not only supports students’ educational achievement but also helps create a sense of normalcy and stability in their lives, even in the midst of hardship.
