Meet Abdulaziz, a bright and resilient young boy who has faced life’s challenges with unwavering determination. Born on August 31, 2015, in Taita–Taveta, Abdulaziz’s life has been marked by adversity since a very young age. He lost his father, Humphrey Mwarashu Luga, to pneumonia on August 31, 2021, leaving behind his mother, Shamsa Ali, to care for Abdulaziz and his six siblings.
Abdulaziz’s mother, Shamsa Ali, is alive but struggling to provide for her children’s basic needs, and she relies on Abdulaziz’s grandmother, Mwanamis Abdalla, to help raise the family. The family’s current situation is one of poverty, neediness, and a daily struggle to provide adequate food, education, and clothing for the children, with Abdulaziz currently in Grade 3 at Mwanyambo Primary School.
