Meet Karem Abdul Rahman Jameel Sheikh, a young boy with dreams as big as his heart. Karem was born on May 21, 2012, in Gaza, into a family that has faced unimaginable challenges. At the tender age of five, Karem’s life took a tragic turn when he lost his father, Abdul Rahman Jameel Sheikh, to a sudden and devastating heart attack on February 19, 2017. Left without the loving presence of his father, Karem and his two siblings found themselves in the care of their mother, Samah Nihad Abdul Quder Sheikh.

Karem is a bright and resilient young boy who attends Al Mustaz Preparatory School. Despite the odds stacked against him, he remains committed to his education and dreams of becoming a doctor one day to serve his community. He is a beacon of hope for his family, who live in impoverished conditions, struggling to make ends meet. Samah, Karem’s mother, works tirelessly to provide for her children, but the financial burden is overwhelming.

The Sheikh family’s monthly income is insufficient to cover their basic needs, including Karem’s education, nutritious food, adequate clothing, and essential healthcare. They require financial assistance to ensure that Karem’s potential is not stifled by the constraints of poverty.
