In the heart of Algahmalea, a small village in Salla, Taiz, Yemen, a little girl named Mareem Nashean Abdullah Qaeed Ameer was born on October 7, 2020. Her story is one of resilience and hope, but it’s also one that desperately needs your support.
Mareem’s family has faced unimaginable hardships. She has one sibling and was born into a loving home. However, tragedy struck when her father, Nashean Abdullah Qaeed Ameer, lost his life to a senseless act of violence – a gunshot – on July 22, 2022. Left behind was Mareem’s mother, Mawaheb Mohammed Ahmed Ali, who is now the sole guardian and provider for her children.
Mawaheb is a dedicated mother doing her best to make ends meet for her family, but the odds are stacked against her. In the wake of her husband’s untimely death, she has been left without a source of income. This has left the family in a precarious financial situation, struggling to meet their basic needs.
Mareem’s mother, Mawaheb, is determined to give her children a better future. She has hopes and dreams for Mareem, just like any other mother. However, the burden of providing for the family has become overwhelming, and she is unable to afford even the essentials.
Mareem’s education is at stake due to their financial difficulties. She deserves the opportunity to go to school, learn, and grow like any other child her age. Her current education level is a blank slate, and without intervention, her future prospects may remain bleak.
We believe that every child deserves a fair chance in life, regardless of their circumstances. Mareem’s potential is immeasurable, and with the right support, she can overcome the obstacles in her path.
