Meet Ruqia Bibi, a resilient young girl from Rawalpindi, Pakistan, whose life has been marked by adversity from a young age. Ruqia was born on April 1, 2015, and her life took an unexpected turn when she lost her father, Sahibzad Gul, to natural causes on December 24, 2017. Left with her mother, Aiyman Bibi, and five siblings, Ruqia’s family faced a challenging situation with no proper source of income. Today, they all reside with their grandfather, trying to make ends meet.

Despite the hardships they face, Ruqia’s mother, Aiyman Bibi, has remained a pillar of strength for her children. Ruqia is currently attending school in Town Mumtazabad Shoke Hassu, Rawalpindi, and is in the first grade. Education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and providing Ruqia with the opportunities she deserves.
