In a small village named Kyete Mayuge, in a corner of the world, there lives a young boy named Shareefu Kateza. Shareefu’s story is a story of resilience, hope, and dreams. Born on November 21, 2017, he has faced more challenges in his short life than most people do in a lifetime. Shareefu, a cheerful and determined young soul, is one of five siblings struggling to find their way in a world that has dealt them a challenging hand.

Shareefu’s father, Mr. Ibrahima Mudasi, tragically lost his life in an accident on August 21, 2023, leaving behind a family shattered by grief. His mother, Fatuma Nekesa, was suddenly thrust into the role of the sole provider for her five children. Fatuma is a strong and caring woman who, despite her best efforts, finds herself unable to provide for her children’s basic needs. The family’s situation is dire, and they need your support and help.

Fatuma Nekesa, Shareefu’s mother, is the guardian and the pillar of strength for the family. She has been doing her best to make ends meet, but the burden is immense. The family lives in poverty, and Shareefu’s education, health, and well-being are in jeopardy.

Shareefu is a bright and eager student at Alban Islamic Primary School. However, the financial burden of his education is weighing heavily on the family’s shoulders. They are unable to afford school supplies, uniforms, and other essentials. Shareefu’s dreams of a brighter future through education are at risk, and this is where we can make a difference.
