Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said:

“Whoever relieves a Muslim of a burden from the burdens of the world, Allah will relieve him of a burden from the burdens on the Day of Judgement. And whoever helps ease difficulty in the world, Allah will grant him ease from a difficulty in the world and in the Hereafter. And whoever covers (the faults of) a Muslim, Allah will cover (his faults) for him in the world and the Hereafter. And Allah is engaged in helping the worshipper as long as the worshipper is engaged in helping his brother.”

University is not the only place for seeking knowledge but the place for educating people about the virtue of human beings by strengthening the bonds of the community through humanitarian and volunteering activities.

The cash waqf will be used to support local and international students who travel from all over the world to seek knowledge in Malaysia where some of them got their financial support from scholarships and sponsorship while others survived with their family support. The cost including the university fees, student visa, accommodation, and daily cost of living for one semester can be at least $1,500 and can exceed $2,000.

Some of the students in their last semester couldn’t even graduate and receive their bachelor’s degree certificate as they fail to pay the required fees. Many students have done a long way in their studies but are still left with outstanding fees as they are unable to provide the amount requested.  Therefore, ForNeedy adopts the idea of a Cash Waqf project to support the students with financial issues and help them to pay their tuition fees so they can complete their studies and obtain a bachelor’s degree certificate at the end of their last semester.
