Sufi Iman a 5 years old little girl who was born on 01/02/2016 at 32 weeks. The hospital can be said as her second home since she sees the world with a history of multiple admission.
At birth, Sufi Iman was held at NICU as she was born premature and her brain swelling. On 24/05/2016 she was admitted once again for the fitting episode which lasted 10 minutes, aborted with valium. At the time, a CT scan was done and they found that there is left subdural hemorrhage with midline shift.
Later on, 24/06/2016 Sufi Iman was admitted at Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun (HRPB) for decompressive craniectomy. After a month which is on, she was admitted for an infected surgical wound and she went back again on 20/09/2016 for cranioplasty. The first year of her birth was a tough journey for her and her family.
Unfortunately, the last admission in 2016 doesn’t end her suffers, she was rushed to the hospital on 1/10/2020 for less SDH with a parietal contusion. Until today, she went back and forth to the hospital to undergone surgeries and treatment. Currently, she was diagnosed to suffer from Communicating Hydrocephalus which may result from a thickening of the arachnoid around the base of the brain, which blocks the flow of CSF from the spinal to the cortical subarachnoid spaces.
The doctor has suggested implanting a silicone skull for Sufi Iman and it will cost RM40,000 to start the operation. However, her parents couldn’t afford to prepare for the operation fees and we pledge you to join us to help Sufi Iman get her Silicone Skull Implantation in the upcoming few months. Sufi Iman will undergo MRI once again end of this month to make sure that her condition is good enough to proceed with the operation.
