In the heart of Africa, numerous villages face a critical challenge—the scarcity of clean, safe drinking water. For families and children in these regions, daily life is a struggle, as they undertake long and treacherous journeys in search of a drop to quench their thirst. This struggle has dire consequences, affecting their health, education, and aspirations.

The Prophet ﷺ said, ‘A prostitute had once been forgiven. She passed by a dog panting near a well. Thirst had nearly killed him, so she took off her sock, tied it to her veil, and drew up some water. Allah forgave her for that.’ This hadith teaches us that a simple act of kindness, such as providing water, can be our salvation on the Day of Judgment.

As we stand at the precipice of this monumental endeavor, we propose a solution aligned with the core values of The Khadijah Association: empowerment, sustainability, and collaboration. Our audacious goal is to dig 1000 water wells across 1000 villages in Africa, positively impacting the lives of at least 150,000 souls.
